About Arjuna

Excellence in Classical Arts

Arjuna Society of Classical Arts was founded in February 2001 at Kazhakuttom, Trivandrum with the vision of promoting Indian classical arts through structured education and performance opportunities. The institution was officially registered in 2009 and later received affiliation from the Kerala Sangeetha Nataka Academy in 2014. Over the years, Arjuna has grown into one of the respected institutions for classical dance and music training in Kerala. With more than 700 students trained, Arjuna has produced performers who have participated in numerous state and national level competitions. Many students have achieved top positions in Kalolsavam and other prestigious competitions. Students trained here regularly perform on professional stages across India and abroad including Singapore and Bahrain. Some Kathakali students from the institution have also received Central Government scholarships for their achievements in classical arts.

Arjuna Society of Classical Arts is a wonderful institution that promotes and preserves our rich classical art traditions. The academy provides excellent coaching in various classical art forms and warmly welcomes students of all age groups. It is truly a place where passion for art meets dedication and discipline. I am currently learning classical dance and keyboard at Arjuna Society of Classical Arts, and my experience has been truly amazing. The teaching methods are clear, structured, and very encouraging. My teacher, Arjun Subramanian, is extremely talented, patient, and supportive. He guides each student with personal attention and motivates us to give our best. One of the most special aspects of Arjuna is the regular cultural performances conducted throughout the year. These programs give students wonderful opportunities to showcase their talents and build confidence on stage. The entire team at Arjuna is very friendly and supportive. They create a positive and inspiring environment where every student feels valued and encouraged to grow. I strongly recommend Arjuna Society of Classical Arts to anyone who wishes to pursue classical arts, irrespective of age. It is truly a place where talent is nurtured and dreams take shape.

As a student of arjuna society of classical arts,I have had a wonderful learning experience .this institution is not just a place to learn dance ,it's a temple of culture, discipline,and tradition.I'm learning bharathanatyam here ,and the way every step ,expression and mudra is taught with patience and perfection is truly inspiring.one of the most special things about arjuna is that it offers multiple classical art forms like bharathanatyam,kathakali ,mohiniyattam and more .it beautifully preserves our rich indian heritage and gives students the opportunity to explore different traditional art forms under one roof .A special thanks to my guru ,Arjun Subramanian sir ,whose dedication, guidance and passion for classical arts motivate us every day .He not only teaches dance but also values , discipline and confidence.his corrections ,encouragements and support help us grow both as dancers and as individuals .Arjun sir's father ,a renowned kathakali artist ,is a true inspiration and a proud symbol of our traditional art heritage.his legacy and contribution to classical arts add great value and respect to this institution.All the teachers and staff members are very supportive,kind and encouraging.they create a positive and motivating environment for every student to grow .I am proud to be a part of arjuna .I highly recommend this institution to anyone who truly wants to learn and experience the beauty of classical arts in the most authentic wayyy...........

My daughter is learning classical dance at Arjuna Society of Classical Arts, and it has been a truly wonderful experience for our family. We feel extremely grateful to be associated with Arjuna Society of Classical Arts. My daughter is learning Bharatanatyam here, and last month she had the blessing of performing her Bharatanatyam Arangettam at the sacred Guruvayur Temple — a moment we will cherish forever. What truly sets this institute apart is the compassionate and patient way in which the students are trained. Each child is guided with care, encouragement, and personal attention, helping them grow not only as dancers but also as confident individuals rooted in tradition and values. The teaching goes beyond steps — it instills discipline, devotion, expression, and respect for the art form. The Arangettam was very well organized, with meticulous planning and attention to every detail.
